Just got up to Eng IV and was a bit depressed when I saw how little extra you can make...
I'm on the Euro-Infinity server and bikes are so hard to come by and generally go for 20k. Don't you think it's weird that speeders aren't appearing in bazzares?
No, no honey, you need 4250 units of metal to build an X34, with a maximum selling price on the bazaar of 6k, that's less than 1.5 cpu. You can sell the worst rubbish grinding steel for 2cpu minimum. Take my advice, build a few speederbikes and swoops, stand outside Bestine/Theed/Corolag star port and sell, sell! SELL! 
How much? Well if you're a nice boy, and you sound like a nice boy 
, then charge 5cpu (so that X34 should be 20k), but if you're money hungry and the demand is there, then make it 7.5cpu.

yeah you might check on the artisan forums, but there is really not much to vehicles, just keep in mind that the quality of the vehicle is directly related to the HAM of the vehicle. The HAM of the vehicle will basically determine how often the bike will need repairs or how fast a famished sludge panther will tear it to shreds. This is something I witnessed for the first time the other night, cleared out some FSPs, but not the lair, helped a friend kill some Binayres and then turned around to see recently spawned FSPs jumping all over my bike, bad kitty!

I'm on Infinity and sell swoops (the most expensive vehicles) for 9k each. Unfortunately I'm not going to be in game for nearly 2 weeks and I don't have any left on my vendor, but if you still need a vehicle in two weeks time then come and look me up on Talus.

Swoop bikes use 8k resources to make (6400 ferrous and 1600 non-ferrous)... why on earth would you sell them for 9k? That's at least 16k worth of resources even if you're making them with total crap grinding material!
I don't even make vehicles for my own use any more, there are just too many stupid people selling vehicles for less than the cost of the resources.
Infinity is the newest server and as such the prices are very different to the more established servers. As to how I can afford to sell for 9k. It costs me around 0.3 credits for each resource I pull out of the ground. Selling for over 1 credits per resource gives me a good profit even counting for critical fails. Add to this I am based on Talus, which is virtually uninhabited on Infinity and suddenly 9K is non such an unreasonable price.
