The following is in the "How to grind..." manual:

At Intermediate Droid Blueprints, you can either keep on crafting MSE or you can switch to Manipulator Arm Package Sets. The Manipulator Arm Package Sets require 65 metal, 18 ferrous metal, 60 extrusive ore, and 15 chemical.They net 331 XP while in practice mode and 316 XP while producing an item in your inventory. If you chose the Manipulator Arm Package Sets route, it will take 203 successful builds to make it to Advanced Droid Blueprints or approximately 14300 metal,3960 ferrous metal, 13200 extrusive ore, and 3300 chemical. If you chose to stick with the MSE grind it will take you 458 successful crafting sessions and approximately 26500 metal and 7500 chemcial to advance to the next level.You will want to trainExpert Droid Blueprints, in order to find the next fastest way to progress.

My question is: What kind of metal is ferrous? Is there a description on the resource that says Ferrous Metal? What about extrusive ore? Same question, is there a description on the resource that says ExtrusiveOre? I haven't been able to find either of these two items.

Iron and steel are ferrous metals

Fer is latin for iron, any Iron-based metal is considered ferrous.

Copper and aluminum are Non-ferrous, to provide 2 examples.

Extrusive ore is found under the low-grade ore category on your survey tool, and if an ore is in that category, it will list in the description.

A1) Ferrous metal is Steel or Iron. If you open your survey tool you'll see what specifically you can sample under 'Metal'in your Mineral Survey Tool.

Q2) Is there a description of the resource that says Ferrous Metal?

A2) Only place you will see it listed as Ferrous to the best of my recollection is on the survey tool.

Q3) What about extrusive ore?

A3) Extrusive Ore is found under Low-Grade Ore in the survey tool.

You may have to travel to a couple different planets to locate some resources, and remember that they do shift out completely on occasion.

Whomever I may or may not have killed isn't important. It's how I treat the living that really matters.

In the end, there can be only one.
