Thread: Various droid combos

Hi everyone being a fairly new DE I've only made R3 & R2 droids for my shops (not counting the BH stuff). I would really like to put out some of the other droids, but not sure what's good to put in them. Any of you old timers have some words of advise for a poor newby looking for a little mixing

Medical droids are always good sellers, either surgicals with a FC crafting station and 110 medical (note that you can't access item or data storage on conversational droids, so a surgical advanced droid can't get much better than FC+110med) or R-units with FC + 110 med + 10 item storage. Cheap droids (like MSE's( packing nothing but item storage is also a relatively easy to sell droid.
Otherwise, I'd recommend trying to figure out a combination suitable for a specific profession/playstyle/even roleplay situation. For example,an R3 with all four crafting stations will most likely never be used by someone who plans on just doing armoursmith (unless he wants to play with artisan), but someone hologrinding who may not want to pick up a new droid everytime he reaches the top tier of a crafting profession might like it.

I would like to point out to make it clear that it's only the surgical droid that has problems with item and data storage modules. Protocol droids and LE Repair droids handle them just fine.

Ah the ellusive items storage 6, I haven't been able to find any lidium ore so still stuck making 2 storage 4 to compansate. Can't wait to find some of this stuff although I'm beginning to believe it's a myth.

I use 2 level 3's and get 10 item... why go with the level 4's?

Wow never knew that the surgical droids had that problem, glad I haven't made one yet. I've been making low end R2's with just a single crafting station and storage, they seem to be my big sellers so far right next to the BH stuff. Was just curious on what kind of fun combo's you guys have come up with. Oh has anyone found a good one for treadwill droids yet, I don;t know these little guys just look so cute, but haven't found a good module for them yet. I know I'm a sappy DE so live with it.

My biggest seller has been my Advanced R2s with Level 6 data/med/item, food/chem, and droid repair module. Medic types love them (side note: my last two customers had me paint them to look likeArtoo Detoo). I've sold a few R3s that were ordered with all four crafting stations as well...
There's been a steady trickle of BH droids too, mainly from the bazaar, but every so often someone will buy out all my BH droids, bazaar and on my vendor. I'm not complaining.
...and yesterday, I finally broke down and built a customer an R3 with five combat modules and a level 6 item storagemodule. It was part of a five droid order he made, so you might as well call me a sellout.
