Droid Engineer Archive

ok im not a de, never have been, never will be. but i do use alot of droids. how do these bomb droids work for levels. i keep seeing posts about:

1 - i see people saying "i was going to pick up Commando - Smuggler - Bounty Hunter so i could use them". can only these professions use them? what is the purpose of these professions and droids?

2 - i know there are different levels of them.highest i have seen is around 50. can anyone use a lvl 50 droid or is it class specific?

Only Smugglers or Bounty Hunters can use the droids.

They don't come in "levels" so to speak.

What they do have is Detonation Power. Max is 60 on an R3 and 40 on an MSE. What the numbers mean is that for every point of Detonation power, the droid will do about 150-200 damage, in an area effect. The PVP 75% reduction does apply however.
