It would seem the Binary Load Lifter would be a likely candidate... why should CH get all the glory?

I posted quite some time back that I would love to see a droid mount (a real one, not someone riding around on an R2 unit or a BLL). Sure, you never see one in the movies but there still seems something rather Starwarsie to me about a robot built into the shape of an animal so that it can be ridden (mecha-cupa). It's probably the inefficiency of design and the style over substance that abounds in nearly all the movies.

Come to think of it, didn't one of those Trade Federation guys sit in droid that walked around like a spider?

That sounds like a good idea. I'll take a metal tauntaun (sp?) and a metal Jar Jar as my new vendor.

All I really would ask for is to have my droids be able to do work such as keep my harvesters going. yeah right like that's going to **edit** happen.

That's the beauty of it. Apparently vehicles are a whole different system and won't be rolled out until at least a month if not two after mounts go live. Droid mounts could go out considerably faster.

Also, there is something a little cool about riding around on Robobol's back. Maybe it's not for everyone, but it's always nice to have the option.

Don't forget..a droid was pulling a rikshaw with people in it on tatooine in Attack of the Clones

I believe the Devs have already stated that vehicles, at least the first one's introduced, will be under the Artisan Engineering tree, so the good news is that any DE will be able to build the basic vehicles.

Personally I would rather see a Vehicle Engineer class that comes off of Artisan Engineering for the more advanced (non-starship) vehicles. As other people have posted, we are droid engineers, not mechanics.

A RIC droid would fall under vehicles IMO given its more like a chariot.
