While it's easy to see what effect experimentation has on effectiveness, what, if any effect does experimenting have for Durability and Quality? To me, Durability should have some impact on how long a charge lasts in the droid, and Quality migh have some bearing on how many times a droid can be recharged, or how resistant it is to damage. However, I see no evidence that experimenting with these items have any affect on the finished product at all.
Am I missing something here, or are these two parameters not yet functioning for the DE?
Thanks in advance!

On a very limited number of items, those might have an effect (repair/reconstruction kit, trapping module, stimpack dispencer, survey droid).
On the vast majority of what a DE can build, those have none proven effect.
No one as proved they they do not have effect either.
It' just that for the moment we can't see any difference by experimenting them or not.

If you've experimented, and found no difference, wouldn't that constitute some level of proof that it has no effect?

What Gavoot is saying is that there is no visible effect, like numbers increasing and such.
However, some people claim that their Droids are faster, or Batteries last longer. These types of htings are very hard to prove or disprove. I have never seen any evidence of them.

Matter of opinion.
It's mine that those don't do anything.
But saying so usually turn into endless discussion on what a proof is.
So, my personal official answer on this one is :
As long as you don't see the difference, the fact that there is an effect or not doesn't matter.
