I recently tried to load a chip with a privateer droid command into my rebel astro droid. I assumed that you could do this. Once in flight I tried to locate the command but to no avail. I know when you load a chip from a diferent pilot profession into your droid its a one use deal, but I cant figure out how to get that one use. Do I need to enter the /comand in the chat box? Any help would be appreciated.

No you go into your datapad and "use" your flight computer, I forget the exact command, but you will see it. I think it is "program." Now a new screen will open, use that to move the commands over into your FC or Droid. When done hit the accept thing.
Now the chip command should be in your Droid or FC. When you get up into space it should be in with the rest of your Astro commands.

Thats the procedure that I followed, but the command was unavailable.
Thoughts?.....

Look in your datapad nad see if the command was listed. Was there enough room in your Droid or FC.

also try reloading the fc i noticed earlier a command didnt show up after i added it. unloaded and reloaded and it was fine. (may take a couple of seconds to register in the "manage" screen at a space terminal)

The astromech/flightcomputer doesn't check the storage space left when loading programs. If you're loadinga tier 3 program (20 program space) in a flightcomputer which has only e.g. 15 space left it will say ok, eat the chip but fail to store the program. If I remember correctly option 3 is programming the droid and option 4 is opening the storage space area, showing a nice row of chips with programs and at the bottom how much space is left.
