Thread: Personality Chip Question
I read in another thread that the personality chip in medical droids aren't working right now...WAS WONDERING WHY MY SARCASTIC DROID WOULDN'T SAY ANYTHING!!!
My question is do we have an eta as to when this will be fixed? I payed for a chip that isn't working and I want to have the smart ass talk...thanks
Is it a surgical droid? I believe that surgical droids cannot talk yet- this is being fixed in a future patch.
Not all droids that have the option to use personality chips can actually talk either (R series has personality chip slots for example, but only beep).
I'm not a droid engineer, so please forgive my ignorance on this matter. A while back, I purchased an advancedprotocol droid with a medical module and a crafting station to serve as a convenient way to craft items while away from my home.
When I first conversed with the droid, it responded in a manner that one would expect from a protocol droid: it was polite and helpful. I don't have the exact wording, but it was something like, "Greetings, how may I assist you?" Every time since then, however, it responds more like a robot and a droid. Again, I don't have the exact wording, but it is something like, "Enter input parameters." It sounds more like a robot from a 1950's sci-fi movie than a Star Wars protocol droid.
Is there a known issue with personality chips "downgrading" themselves? I dabbled in droid engineering way back when and I know there were a lot of problems with it. I'm curious to know if this falls into that category.
