Howdy all, just a few questions that i'd figure i'd lump together here and ask ya'll instead of bugging my non-DE friends about. Maybe other new DEs will find it useful too.

1) What are do the Droid Assembly, Experimentation, and Customization skills cap out at. Just getting MDE i'm at +100, +100, +64 respectively.

2)What is the maximum +bonus clothing/armor attachment that you can buy..and do the effects stack?

3) As a new player i don't have a jedi character yet...and will probably try to make this crafter character one to unlock the second character slot. a) Will i be able to train up the jedi skills and still keep master DE (don't have to surrender skill points) and b) do the crafting line of jedi skills actually help at all? Everything i read on that is conflicting (and usually a few months old).

Thanks!

The 4th one is "luck" I think. Nobody is sure what that really does.

Right, not the luck luck line, but it's like crafting luck. I think it is called technique or something. Can't get in game now to check.

If your just looking to unlock the 2nd character and not actually make your DE character the Jedi then you should be able to take the non-combat oriented FS skills. Additionally most of the non-combat oriented FS skills don't involve combat..such as the Veh control one where you arn't directly involved in combat but you may get shot at.

If you intend on making this character a Jedi then I would recommend making your character combat oriented which would mean you would have to give up your DE and Artisan skills to get an Elite melee class which is very much needed to grind out the Combat and Ehanced FS xp.

I am currently experiencing this problem and I have a MDE and I am having to rip out all my MA and MDE skills to get the combat skills I need to be good enough at combat to get decent xp so I can convert it to FS xp and get it all done in a decent timeframe.

My solution to the problem was to just buy another account and use that other account as my Artisan type.

1) I beleive at +125, +125 and +64 (my be wrong at the last one)
2) +25. They stack, if they're not on the same peice of clothing.
3) Depends on what other skills you have. To get the other slot you need to take 6 Branchs of 4 boxes, 1 point each... 24 Skill points that are held by it. No clue on the actual benifit.

Yup. Keep in mind that as an MDE, you won't ever need to take the last one higher than +64. Customization tapes are for non-DEs.

Correct. However, +25 only yields 2 more experimentation points. Basically, only '+20' is used.

Yup.

And...I do see that the FS Experimentation line seems to give a higher number of "Amazing Results" on the experimentation roll. I"m still working Assembly but I'd not see any reason it wouldn't apply in the same way. Repair won't matter really for DE stuff and...what was the other one?

A bit of topic but yes you could go and drop most of your crafting to become a jedi. But while your trying to grind your way there you also need to enjoy the game and make money.

If like me you enjoy being MDE and dont really want to drop that (yet if at all) then check what u can and cant do.

My template is a bit of a mis and match but heres what I got :

MDE

0004 Merchant - need the vendors and you can cap 80k of merchant xp every few days giving 20k fs xp for nothing (you might or might not use)

4042 Artisan - Surveying take a bit longer and you have to know a friendly Master Artisan to make you some schems but if you strike up a deal and know what the resources are for each schem there are MA's who will charge 10k (or less) just to make a schem.

Masterswordsman - The killing part of me, great for PvE and those days guild go hunting or your helping to go down the DWB

Novice Med - Ok cant do much but stim B's are a life saver, even if its when your unbuffed checking your harvies or out killing.

I then have 3 full branches unlocked from the village.

Melee speed, melee def and vehicle control.

Now comes the good part.

You can now decide what other 3 branches you can unlock. As the phase's come round unlock them but dont get the 1st or infact any box. You would have to drop either more artisan or novice med. Instead start saving the FS xp up, so when you have unlocked and got the xp for ALL the 3 branches (12 boxes) just drop novice med.

This is my plan of action and you could do anything similar just find a player calculator and have a look what you can do. Yes i have to get help from other players (but isnt that part of the game and being in guilds ?)

Cheers
