It seems to take forever to open the tool back up again. Really hurting my grinding.

Have you perhaps tried a specialized crafting tool? They can be made by anyone with Engineering I. If it's speed thats the problem then it's most likely your connection. I can openand load a tool in 1-2 seconds, and if it takes longer then it's just a lag issue.

How about placing four tools on the hotbar and using one after another. Perfect for grinding.

Heh... I use three w/d/g crafting tools on my toolbar, all elegantly made and experimented to 13.53 rating by myself.
