Thread: Why do I need a camp?

What use is a Medical6 module in a droid as opposed to a camp when out hunting or exploring? You need a camp to pull out a droid in the wilds, but you can do everything a Medical 110 module can do in a camp.

Why can't we just pull out non-combat droids anywhere and anytime? I simply don't understand the logic behind the "call" rules with non-combat droids.

Well, considering where you have to pull those droids from, you probably want someplace you can spend a little time, maybe go in a tent for some privacy.

As far as what you can do with a Med 6 droid you can't do with a camp, the answer is, "heal 10% more efficiently than you can anywhere else."

Actually, depending on your survival skill (and ranger skills) you can make camps that are better than the droid's module.

It's a sham that we can't call our droids anywhere. Han didn't build a camp to call R2 before taking over the shield generators on Endor.

No, Han had R2 out from the Ewok village. Points to one use- mobility. Also, with the crafting station, you can craft and heal on the run,

Also, sometimes when the cantina is slow, I go about the town with my mouse droid (I have a Med droid, but the emotional attachment to Mouse, my second droid made, is too much,) and heal wounds.

It's also rediculous that you carry a R2 unit around on your back. So what's your point?

I thought the camp's regeneration bonus was independent of anything a medic does to you in the camp. The L6 medical module adds 10% effectiveness to medics' healing (when compared to performance in a medical center), whether you're in the camp or not. As far as I know, the two should stack totally, since they're affecting two different things.

I don't use camps much. Am I just wrong about this?

One of the items mentioned in The Plan was allowing medical droids to be called more places.

Made sense to me......

Was it medical or surgical??? Sugical would make more sense cause all you have to do is check what type of droid it is. Other wise you'll have to check every single slot of every droid called to see if a medical module is present.

Hmmmmmm......

(this profession makes me say that way to often )

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
