I am not aDroid Engineer, butI am used to coming up with creative solutions. How about this...

When droids are crafted they have a certain number of modules that can be installed. How about having modules that correspond to classes in all senses. Droids with regular droid brains get 25 skill points and those with advanced brains get 100 skill points. When certain moduels are installed base classes are installed as well and the skill points are lowered by that amount.

This would allow a droid with an advanced brain to master one profession and dabble in two others. And since droid experience would becontrolled by the droid, aplayer could not really power level them. And as far as combat goes a droid could master an elite combat profession (with 8 points to spare) but would be somewhat limited (for marksman classes they could not have the ranged support branch and master anything other than marksman).

As far as implementatoin, the exact same experience system as players uses could be used with the droid being required to take skills as the XPwere acquired.

The class would be set by the installion of a module and training could be handled in acouple of ways. And experience points could even be weighted (lower) to simulate the droid lack or true learning capabilities.

So what do people think of this as an option?
