Just though I would share this with you all to get your thoughts. This is a competition I plan to run on Chimaera. SHould be good fun all round.

What is Droid Wars ?
Its the ultimate Droid Deathmatch competition.

Beccami Droid Corps are looking for at least 16 combatants prepared to compete for riches and prizes beyond your wildest dreams
The Rules -
Entry fee - 125k Credits paid in advance of the tournament start. No fee, no entry. Multiple entrants per person allowed, up to a maximum of 5 Droids. each entered droid is liable for the 125k entrance fee.
A Maximum of 32 combatants to be allowed this time around.
Combat rules - Droids will be drawn to fight at random against other entrants. The last droid standing in the bout will be declared the winner and will progress to the next stage.
No healing of your droid is allowed during a bout. Anyone found to be healing a droid will be disqualified along with all of their entered droids.
The droid owner may not under any circumstances join the combat in any way. Doing so will reult in disqualification of all entered droids by that player. The droid owner maynot have any weapon equiped or be a declared overt faction member for the duration of the bout. Only Covert and neutral players may participate.
The decision of BDC judges will be final in all respects.
Bouts will take place in the main square in the city of Antaris, Naboo.
Combatants will start at a distance of 80m from each other and may only attack once the judge declares the bout started.
Combat dates and times will be posted at least 3 days in advance of the bout. If a combatant cannot make a date then he /she should state this no later that 24 hours before the scheduled date of the bout.
The tournament will be a straight knock out, with the winner of each bout progressing to the draw for the next stage. This will continue until the final where the overall winner will be decided. The two losing semi-finalists will fight it out for 3rd place and a share of the spoils.
If there is a no show, the bout will be resheduled. A 2nd no show will result in the match being forfiet and the showing competitor being given the victory by default. A bout will be declared a no show if a competitor arrives in Antaris later than 20 minutes after the scheduled fight time.
Any droid chassis / class or combat rating may be entered to fight.
The droid winning the tournament will get automatic qualification to the next Droid Wars Tournament without paying an entrance fee as reigning champion.
By entering you agree to the rules stated.
Bouts will be publicised and spectators are welcome.
Prizes
The winner will recieve 1.2 million credits plus an AV21 schematic plus a free BDC Droid of his/her choice as well as a selection of droid consumables (batteries, colour kits, heal kits etc) plus a light weight military pack with many plus's to stats
The runner up will recieve 500k credits plus a selection of droid consumables and 100k worth of top quality stims from our co-sponsor - Nara's Quality Meds (Antaris) plus a light weight military pack with many plus's to stats
3rd place will recieve 350k credits and 20k credit to spend at Val'Rel's Nr Mos Enta. Plus a spec ops pack with many plus's to stats
There will also be a prize of a spec ops pack and a pack of droid consumables for the most asmusingly named droid
(Prizes based on 16 combatants. If more combatants are entered, the prizes will increase accordingly up to around 2.5 mil for the winner, 1 mil for runner up and 600k for 3rd.)
How to Enter
A mail to Beccami with your droid details. PM will not be accepted for entries. How ever if you have any questions, they may be PM'd, mailed or just send Beccami a /tell. Or post a question in this thread.

Along with a payment of 125k per droid, entry fee by bank tip (so both parties get a receipt)
In the event of the tournament not going ahead, A full refund of any entry fee paid will be made, without question.
Why do we want to know who made your Droid ? So the Droid Engineer can be credited if that droid is a plced winner. Beccami Droid Corps is not the only company who makes droids!
When will the tournament happen ?
The tournament is sheduled to begin in 1 weeks time (11 May) to allow adequate time for people to enter. This may be extended in order to achieve the minimum 16 competitors, or may be ended early if the maximum of 32 is reached. Either way advance notice will be given.

Peperations for an organization like this is underway on the ECLIPSE server. I would announce it when the concept was complete but since a topic has already sprung I felt it appropriate to put a teaser like this. The general info is as below.
DROID ARENA
Will be an open tournament for all droid owners!
The macthes will be one on one.
The entrance fee will be between 25-50k (will be decided later).
It will be tournament style with the winners advancing to a new elimination round.
The prize isprimarily money with gifts from sponsors.
The runners up will be awarded too.
There will be a droid vendor tent neaby the arena for the supplies and droids needed!
