Save yourself some level 6 armor segs, it only takes one level 6 to max out a droids resists. You dont have to fill both slots on the R3 and adding the extra doesn't have any effect.
If this is a double post I apologize, having tech probs
Okay, so why does a fully equipped R3 with entertainer modules sell for so much less than a fully equipped combat droid?
Granted the combat modules require a droid brain each, but the entertainer modules have to be put into combat clusters as well (and that also uses brains...)
To me, it seems like the entertainer droids are JUST AS DESIRED by entertainers ascombat droids are by combatants. I find that they are just as willing to pay for a maxxed R3 as anyone else, because that is what is important to them.
And entertainers are buying them in BULK (for their whole band), as opposed to fighters who just want a single droid to tank for them, so I dont buy the argument that they should be cheaper since they dont sell as well.
Anyways. I was just wondering on your thinking there...
OK, this is my first attempt at a Droid pricing strategy, and I based it on the prices generated by the Droid Configurator at http://www.undeadfish.com which a lot of DEs use.
My Effects Droids have no armour, whereas the Combat Droids do. This makes them cheaper. Also as you say, Combat Clusters with 3 x Combat Modules require 4 Droid Brains (one for each Combat Module and one for the Cluster) meaning that 8 Droid Brains are required per Droid.
Other than that, I'd imagine that the main difference in price is due to the difference in resources used between Effects Modules and Combat Modules.
As I said, this is my first attempt at a proper pricing strategy for a range of droids. I'm pretty sure that once I work out what sells and what does not, I'll be adjusting the prices accordingly! ![]()
