So I was just playing around with a character builder to see if it were possible to be a 100% self-sufficient droid engineer. By that, I mean being able to make every sub-component needed to manufacture every type of droid.
It looks like if you are a Master Droid Engineer, Master Artisan, 4/x/x/x Armorsmith, x/x/x/1 Architect, and Novice Musician. You can do it. That leaves you a wopping 30 extra skill points to play around with. And of course, I can't see having a shop with out having at least 3/x/x/x merchant which leaves you with a whole 12 points to play around with. Am I missing anything? Anybody tried this? Comments?

hmm, no I have not tried this before. Nice idea though. Im just master DE, Master Artisan, Architect, etc, but I am not self-sufficiant. I just order all of my special supplies instead of using parts of skill trees. I say to either go full in to a profession or not go at all. You make no moneyt only using half a profession

Master DE/Artisan/Merchant makes me self-sufficiant enough. I order my composite panels in baches of 500 and evrything else by the crate when I need it. Master Artisan is a must though.
