Thread: Is there really no way to ignore a spamdroid?

I have an issue now with spamdroids. No longer are they relegated to the starport, where I can just run by them and and don't really care about their spamming. But now, a droid engineer on Eclipse has taken to placing a spamdroid in the cantina advertising his Entertainer droids. As I spend many hours in the cantina, this droid is really getting on my nerves as I cannot find a way to ignore it's spam that pops up every 60-90 seconds. I read that by ignoring the owner you can ignore the droid, but that doesn't seem to work. And of course, the owner doesn't care to even respond to my tells asking him to kindly remove the droid from the cantina.
As a side note, I would argue that placing such a spammbot in the cantina is counter-productive. The AFK macrotainers 1) won't see it, and 2) won't care even if they did since they aren't typically the kind of people who actually care enough about entertaining to buy one. And as for the real live entertainers in the cantina, all you are doing is aggrivating them to no end, leaving a very bad taste for you that just insures they will never ever buy from you.

simple, he's gonna come replace the battery at most once every four hours or its gonna stop.you could possibly wait till he shows up then nail em!

As I recall, if you ignore the owner then the droid will also be ignored. It's been a while since I've tested it though.

I could be wrong but I thought if you examined the droid it would tell you who the owner was?......

Yes. i Have many span droids. Just ignore them by going int guild chat or something.

Not really practical if you wanted to see other stuff in spatial......

that doesnt get rid of the chat bubbles, thats more of the problem because it fills the entire room, the chat tab itself is easily ignored anyway.

Send an e-mail to the guy. He's probably afk just letting his spam droid do the spamming.
If he fails to respond write a CSR ticket saying that you're mortally offended by what he's made his spam droid say, you can't believe it, etc...
When the CSR gets there tell them he came in 5 minutes before and changed the message because you told him the CSR was on the way.
CSR points at droid, droid goes *poof*
