Thread: A working grinding Macro for normal and Holo DE's
This should make it easier to find for some of you. Yesterday i experimented with this quite a bit. After the macro i'll go into specifics.
First CAPS are very important. I found this on the chef forum. And i am using it for that reason. It will work for DE just as well.
(with apoligies to the person who posted this on the chef forum. I don't remember there name)
The macro I used is as follows. I'd suggest using 4-5 tools (I used 5). Hotkey them to a vacant panel (I used #3 and deleted the frilly emote crap)
/ui action toolbarSlotxx; (xx=slot number on your hotkey bank)
/selectDraftSchematic xx; (xx=schematic #...you must experiment to find out what it is at your stage)
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no items;
/createPrototype practice no items;
/pause 3;
copy this text; paste it 4 times (so 5 runs total), changing the toolbarSlot # each time to match which hotkey slot you are using for your tools. I used the first 5 (00-04).
at the end of the macro, add in this line
/ui action toolbarSlotxx (xx= slot you hotkeyed the macro)
Once the macro is complete, simply drag it to an open hotkey on the same tab with the tools (I used slot 10 - which was the zero key).
This macro will generate no product, so you can grind on end for hours and hours. If you want product, simply remove the references to "practice no items". You just need to be there to click on the resources...unless of course you have a programmable input device (strategic commander).
Also worth mentioning, if you are going to macro, you must stay away from crafting stations, crafting droids, etc...as they will mess up the macro by activating experimentation.
Disclaimer: This worked for me...no promises for anyone else. The semi-colons may be needed...maybe not, I simply took things that I saw on forums a few months back and duplicated the effort. Pauses may need to be adjusted...I tweaked mine many times from as low as 4 seconds to as high as 8. Also, I used 5 tools because the timing seemed to work best for me. Also some of the commands can be abbreviated, but I never went into that much detail while using the macro.
Now some notes:
Some notes on this. Start your macro with hotkey 01. This is your F2 slot. My macro didnt like using the F1. Next comes "How to find which schematic it is". This involves a lot of experimentation. Dont use your macro to experiment. Since you will burn a lot of materials up. Open your weapon/droid tool then do /selectDraftSchematic 20 . For some people its as high as 130 something. For others its lower. It all depends on your skill trees. And it may change as you get new schematics. Mines 22 for my chef item and hasn't changed during my level ups.
Feel free to ask questions. I ask you don't flame if it doesnt work for you. Because it took me an hour to tweak it until it worked. But after it did mines in a loop now and really really nice to have.
