Thread: Probots vs. Advanced Probots
I used to think that Probots with full armor were the same as Advanced Probots with full armor and no modules installed, butI made 2 normal ones for someone and they both had 812 HAM. I didn't like that so I used the same components and resources to make 2 more, and they hit 822 HAM.
Is this because the advanced ones are better in that respect, or am I a victim of reading too much into randomness in a MMORPG once again?
Also, it would be good to know if the damage and attack speed are better in the advanced ones.
Why would you care so much about a 10 HAM difference?
If youre only making them for combat and can make a lvl 6 armor mod, just make a normal probot. It is much cheaper
Don't trivialize the slots in the advanced, either - tossing in a L6 med mod and a droid repair mod can make the droid a lot nicer to have in the field.
Plus, with the droid repair mod, you can explain to your customer that if they and their bud both have such a probot, they can heal each other's wounds

I'll say it again im a bounty hunter and i would love to have a new kind of battle droid like a droideka from episode 1or better yet Ig88 bounty hunting droids or other droids of that kind.I really want them to fix this professtion. I think it would make the game better all around and therewould be a decrease in ch as well.
If the dev's read this i hope you make these changes or a will spam this forum until you do hahaha.

10 points HAM.... I don't care but a customer once did and he obviously want to know about his profession.
If during the construction phase the ham is 820 or greater the HAM will be 820. If the HAM is 819 or less it will be 810. I haven't made one with 809 or less HAM to see if it comes out at 800. 
As far as damage and speed, I actually have compared them but I plan on it tomorrow as I thought they were all 50-50 @ 2.0. Today I noticed my adv probot had a rated speed of 1.57. Of course as the above HAM example points out, what it is says in the deed/datapad isn't always true.
Customers care about the 10 HAM, thats why I am wondering.
Many want just the normal ones without any modules.
Its easier to make the normal ones, so if I can do it and get 822 HAM that would be great.

As an aside, the ones with no modules I sell for 18k.
I think you would be hard presses to get a regular probot to experiment to 820. Might be possible, but you would have to use some very, VERY good resources. Might better to spend the extra chemical and make them an adv model with no modules.

I sold an advanced probot with 823 base ham.
A day later, he gave me a /tell saying that someone had a better one than his, and asked what was up.
Turned out that the other one was 825 HAM.
Customers to seem to care about this.
More reasons why I never sell my droids.
The ham may say 823 in the datapad, but it is 820 when called because of the caps. Just move the cursor over the probots HAM bar when it is called out.
The only reason customers should care about this is that it may be a way for dishonest DEs to charge more creds for something that is no better.
Ermmmm... if you never sell your droids, then how do you make your money?
