Thread: Eletronics crafting... Micro sensor suite question
Electronics are a big part of Crafting droids, but I am confused about one aspect in particular.
There is an optional spot for a Sensor Wiring Harness (Energy Distributer) in the Micro Sensor Suite resource insertion step in making the suite. Why is that optional, and what help is it to put the Energy Distributer in it? I am using mine to make droids and wonder if it is a waste of time or an importent ingredient in the suite.
Kinda technical I know, but someone's gotta know the answer!

Well, a while back, I did some experiments with an armorsmith on the armor repair tool.
We made some very high quality ones without any of the optional components, and then, using the exact same materials, made some others with the optional components.
The fail rate on the latter set was noticably lower.
I wonder if this means anything for the droids we make?
Probot damage or attack speed?
Anything? Someones gotta know!

I've actually noticed something similar. I went through a period where I used just about anything on my components, (other than the components where experimentation affected the final quality), and I had some very high failure rates -- many on final assembly. Then one day after havingFOUR failures on final assembly in a ROW,I started experimenting and using higher quality resources on my components and my failure rate has just about STOPPED. I had one failure on final assembly about two days ago, but it's probably been weeks since I had such a failure. Even the one yesterday may fit this pattern since I had a critical failure while experimenting on one of the components, but I used it in the final assembly anyway.
The bottom line, for me, is that experimentationnoticeably affects the failure rate on final assembly -- but I can't prove it.
