I bought an r5 awhile ago that was advertised with data storage. I noticed item storage is back, but does data storage work?

From what I understand, Data Storage is pointless unless you need more than 100 waypoints. I think that's really all the "data" you can store in a droid.

The Data mod still doesn't work. I can't get it to store any waypoints, schematics or missions. This is still true as of this morning.

I'm hoping getting it to work is on the to-do list and fairly high up at that.

HEh...

Do you think limiting the number of waypoints in your datapad to half of the current would encourage people to buy driods with data modules.

This isn't the best solution I know but it may be the easiest.

??? bueller ???

Also how about having draft schematics stored on data modules??? and blueprints etc??

I bought a surgical droid and asked that it be fitted with a data storage module. After i tamed him and he was set to my datapad i called him and cant seem to find a data storage compartment. Should I question my supplier or is this a known bug. thanks in advance

I've never heard of this problem. Sounds like an over sight to me. It is easy when you are cramming modules into a cluster to forget to put one in, or put the wrong one in. I would ask him.

I think that surgical droids don't get along with data and item storage, actually... I know for sure they don't like item storage, it's probably the same for data.

It's not the fault of the DE, except perhaps for his or her remaining ignorant of one of the many bugs in the profession, and I personally could not get too worked up about that.

If I were to produce such a droid by accident, I'd offer my customer the option of a discount for the failed component, or a replacement R2 with all the correctly functioning options. I'd also add that combination to my 'never build' list, along with such items as LE Repair droids with Repair modules and such.

what rho said pretty much sums it up, if you're looking for a replacement let me know, I've got the best prices around and great customer service. I'm generally hanging around tatooine somewhere.
