The question was to determine which type of droid I should be looking for as a:

1. Combat Partner

2. Single Use Detonation Droid.

I just need some Droid Basics.

yes, i have a probot (are there other droids out there that are better suited for combat?)

You probably want one of my "Probot Ultra Combat" for the regular combat and my "Jedi Go Splat" for your detonation droid.

If you have somemedic, I would suggest a different option...

An Adv R3 with1 Level 6 Armor Module, 1 Combat Module, 1 Level 6 Medical Module, 4 Detonation modules.

Here is why I suggest this combo...

The Level 6 Medical Module will up your Bacta Shot by 450 points per pop. This can be one of those make or break bumps in healing. The 1 Combat Module will give the droid Max damage, which will typically result in an additional 50 - 100 DPS to the Jedi. This may not sound like much, however it will be enough of a thorn in the Jedi's side that they will waste at least more heal then they would have otherwise, which is good for you, or the Jedi will focus on the Droid, which can also be good for you. Just keep the droid healed, using some high powered Repair Kit Ds. Once you have worn the Jedi down hit him with the /detonatedroid. Righty before, or 1 second after starting the timer, try and hit the Jedi with a Root or a KD. This should give you an open shot at hitting the Jedi for full damage, from the droid.

You may lose some of the det power damage from the droid, with this combo, but you should more then make up for it with the healing bonus and the additional DPS from the droid.

One thing to remember is to group up with the droid before the battle begins. It makes it easier to see the droids heath and may be of other benefits to the droid.
