Hi!

I've read the 101 and I've gone through the first pages of this thread, and the search engine on the forums worked (!!!!) so I tried that. However, I can't figure out why I can't put my effects module straight into a standard R2 unit. The R4 accepts it as it needs a 'General Droid Module Unit', whereas the R2 needs a 'General Droid Module Cluster', so can you fit an effects module into a module cluster? Is it possible to fit an effects module in a standard R2 unit at all, or do I need to go to an advanced unit?

Thanks in advance!

It can get confusing!

A module is a single, stand-alone unit

A cluster is a group of 3 modules.

There are combat clusters and general clusters, but each one holds the same number of modules. The only real difference between the two are which droids they go into.

For example, you can put a combat module and two auto-repair modules into a combat cluster. That cluster will then fit into an R2 unit, making it combat capable and able to repair itself somewhat.

Some modules, like auto-repair "stack", or gain strength when more than one of the type is used. Some, like crafting modules, do not stack, so it isn't necessary to put two food crafting modules into one cluster.

Ah so you can put them in a cluster.

Thanks!
