Thread: Is the 1 combat mod 1 lvl 6 armor a bug to be fixed? Or just the new way?

Sorry about the double post! lol


Ok, what is the deal, new way or a bug? I see all the posts about going with 1 and 1, but what happens if this is a bug and it gets fixed? Will all those droids be practically useless for combat then? I have been tempted to factory run a load of DZ70's that will be CL30, but how long will that last? What about the custom orders for mega-use-droids? The R3s with 1 combat and all repair mods will become the tanks, but what about the others? Should we expect this to never be fixed like all our other bugs? lol It is a good bet that will happen.


I'm just concerned is all and wondering the outcome of this.

My way round this problem is not selling directly to the public. What with the vendor bug that some people have. If I do sell a combat droid (dont think I have since the Droid Upheaval AKA Publish 18) I explain explicitly that they are paying for a single combat module and the armor modules and that currently it will be the best there is but may change at a later date. Either way they are getting what they pay for.


EG. at present - 1 combat module based combat droid - 10k (price as an example) .. when working - 6 combat modules - 70k

This is not a question that we can know the answer to. Heck, even the devs probably don't know, because it'll be up to the whim of whomever fixes it, if and when they fix it.


Just relax and go with the flow. That's the best advice. Don't bet the farm on it being one way or the other.

This is what I have been doing, I was just wondering what others thought of it. I haven't had the vendor problems so mine is still going strong... eerr soso. lol I figure if people have a problem they will complain and then I'll sort it out. Since the CU I have sold a few dozen combat droids and have yet to hear of a problem.


Also due to the 1 and 1 thing I had a customer bring up a good idea. A combat droid with barker mod, so they can have the droid shout at the mob. I have sold about a dozen of these and haven't gotten any complaints or comments on them, so I guess they are doing fine. I did specify in the deed info that you had to have merchant 4xxx to get it to work. He had the idea of an entertainer/combat droid thatperformed the dancing jawa while fighting, but you have to be dancing to get that to work... right? If that is the case, maybe a entertainer in a group could dance while their droid and others fought? Anyway it was just an idea that did 'sound' cool.

Neither seemed to have a problem with this. I also placed notes about this and not grouping with your combat droid if under CL 30in the read me plaque on my droid vendor. One of these custom order customers did opt for two combat modules in his probot.

You just need Novice Musician or Dancer to turn on/program the effects modules, don't need to be actively performing.
