Even if they did cap out at CL30, how cool would they be to own? Very....

i dont mean to pick fun or to say it is a bad idea but we have been asking for those for a long time. but more pressing matters would be the fact that about 80%+ of things DE's can make are either useless or have been nerfed into uselessness we would rather have them fix, not that we would complain if they gave us the chassis to bake into droids.

Besides, knowing how these developers have operated in the past, they will probably add new chassis before they fix any of these old bugs.

But the way SWG does things, the schematics for the new droids would only be looted from that dungeon and we lowly CL1 crafters would not stand a chance. So we'd have to pay handsomely to buy the schematics and then people would call us "grredy" for charging a price that reflects that...

The problem with making a "droid dungeon", that I see at least, is that most Droid Engineers have no, or little combat skills. I can't see making another quest for the the combat oriented aspect of the game. Now, if they made an extremely long, crafter exclusive quest for those schematics, yes. But if they make it so only a CL 80 with stand a chance in there, those people would charge extremely large ammounts of money for the schematics. Then we would have to set a high price for the completed droids. People would complain that the droids are to expensive and they would never be bought and then we'd be out of cash.

I think the devs could go somewhere with actually making real combat droids. An R2 model or something like that comin along with you to fight just would look kinda silly. ( Not sure if droids will ever be a good combat companion) But if it ever happened it think it would really help the game in adding droids to help you fight. If they do ever add battledroids atleast, it think it's the most sensible and it would also cost a lot of resources and stuff to make one. It would probably attract some old players who want that star wars feeling back by having a loyal droid companion for their adventures.
Another cool droid to add would be a the death star droid type. (Kinda looked like a bug)
Heck this could even be the start of a new advanceddungeon-
"THE FORGOTTEN TRADE FEDERATION FACTORIES OF RORI"
Think about it. Just about all the mobs could be all the current droids int he game thrown into a dungeon with their CL raised to 70-85. There could also be old scatteredtrade federation personnel trying to keep you from seeing what they have been working on since the clone wars.
DUN DUN DUN! New original droids and weaponsmade just for SWG! There SOE can show its creative side. There would be no geonosians so the dungeon could be a little more original. They can make the droids look different from the Corvette or DWB by just making them different colors and textures.
The other NPC enemies could consist of the type of species that sponsored the trade federation. Nemoidians, the "banking clan" guys, Quirrans (the otherspecies nativeof Mon Calamari), and the the type of alien that Wat Tambor was.(All these guys can be seen from EP 2 on geonosis with Dooku)
I guess coming up with the stuff is easy but putting it ingame would probably take months. I hope there is more content added for you droid engineers and I hope your profession becomes more desirable.
