Thread: Did I get scammed or am I just stupid?
Ok, admittedly, I know nothing about how droids or modules work. And, admittedly, if this was a scam, it was a small one at only 400 credits. So, keeping that in mind, here's the situation.
I had a guy make me a mouse droid and medical module for 400. I got the deed and module, no problem. Now I can't figure out how to get the module into the freaking droid. Then I thought, ya know, this mouse droid is awful small...can it actually hold anything at all? So I think either I'm just too dumb to figure out how to install the thing, the guy didn't know how to do it or that it couldn't be done, or he knew and just wanted my measly 400 credits. I'm ruling out the third possibility just because if it was a real scam, I'm sure he woulda wanted more money off me...not hardly worth the effort for a mere 400 credits.
So, how does this **edit** thing work? Feel free to explain it to me like I'm two years old...as I said, I have no idea about any of this droid stuff. Thanks.
What server you on Dunkel? If its bloodfin I'll replace the droid (With a module installed) for free. Cant have people thinking we DE's are a horrible lot now can we

It also sounds like the Droid Engineer didn't know what he was doing. It would have been a very simple thing for him to install it while making the droid. He obviously had the module and could do the mouse droid, and any droid engineer could install it while making the droid very easily.
Like others have said just tell us what server you play on and there are a lot of people who will gladly replace it with the module inside it at creation. Keep in mind that no modules are working still, they work when you tame the creature but after it's been stored in your Datapad the module will not be working (which happens automatically at long logouts, and you have to do it to change planets and other things, or one of the 50 times per session it's stuck back off somewhere (Why doesn't it use the same follow type code as aggro monsters? They never seem to get stuck like that ever. Maybe I'm just ignorant about what it would do for them to use that same follow code.)). I'm really really hoping the fix doesn't only help newly made droids and something happened in the system where old installed modules weren't saved after stored, hopefully it won't because the personality type is still listed even though it doesn't work, but you still might want to wait until Wednesday and make sure the modules are working again before you get somebody to get you a new one.

It sounds like he was silently protesting to me. Instead of putting the module into the mouse (which oh lord I wish was so easy to do with higher level droids and theirinfinite components) he just gave you the module and the mouse and said 'do whatever you want with them.' Maybe he assumed you knew about droids and how they can't do anything right now, and thought you were making fun of him. I approachsome customers that way now with a 'laugh it up' attitude.
