Thread: need the services of a long time DE
1. Yes, though they're a bit buggy right now and I tend to recommend R-units or LE repair droids instead because of that.
2. Any of the combat capable ones (R2, R3, R4, R5, Probot, LE repair, and DZ70).
3. If you mean as far as capabilities there's crafting, storage, medical, auto-repair, and a number of others. The type of droid may limit how many things the droid can do or how well it can do them though.

Which in translation means, don't get one droid, get several. The one for combat should be fully stacked with combat modules, perhaps some auto-repair, and full armour. (Oki, armour is bugged at the moment, but you can at least hope that it occasionylla gets fixed.) A high number of module slots is highly adviseable here.
Then for your architect needs, get a second one, this one has no big needs. A simply mouse could do it, but i advise to get something made with also a storage module inside. 10 more item places never hurt... and if you're taking an R-Series Droid, also get a data module in there, so it can funtion as Astromech, too.

You only need one combat module ATM to max out combat on a droid. I make a mean ADV DZ70 1 storage + 1 combat + armor. CL is 30 and does same damage as my Pre CU combat Probot or ADV R3.

I prefer to make them with more myself, since you never know when/if that will be changed.

Is this a hint that a fix is coming soon?

I actually do the same.
Not that I know of, but I like to be safe.

I was under the impression that only the final stats for the deed would be saved, so just the CL would be recorded and not the # of combat modules used. But does the system save all the info on what modules were used to make each droid?aka Katerin Vorthys MDE of Corbantis
Hehe, thats where things get tricky. Honestly we don't really know what is saved for sure. The final CR of the droid used to be saved (you could see it on the deed), but its unknown if thats still the case.
