Thread: Just came back to SWG and now a couple questions
Hello and welcome back.
For how to level the profession the fastest, please see the sticky thread at the top of the DE forums with FAQs (believe the title includes the phrase "Hologrinders check here first"
For your closest trainer, there are many SWG fansites out there with lists of trainers and their locations. The one I like using is atwww.swgcenter.com
To me it seems like its real hard for a DE to be only partially DE. I mean with WS or AS you could conceivably climb one or two trees and make fairly competitive products. (you miss the top end experimentation I realize)
But with DE its like severely restricted unless you are a master. Is it like that with all the classes too, or is my assessment correct?
But as far as XP goes Advanced Droid Frames for the win!
For levelling up DE the best thing is make at first is MSE droids, level up the Droid Blueprint tree until you can make advanced frames (think its the second box). Once there grind out advanced frames until Master (you only need two resources for Adv Frames, Steel & Fibreplast - so mine loads). Its hard going up to the second box as MSE droids dont give much xp, but once you're on Adv Frames it gets alot easier.
As for trainers, if you're already a Novice DE, I recommend getting training off other players rather than the NPC trainer, as they'll do it for free (players get Apprentice xp for training other players - you need this xp to level up the last skill box to master in any profession). If you prefer to pay for the training, according to SWG.Stratics there are Droid engineer trainers in the following locations on Tatooine(Stratics can be out of date, so if you can find em they've moved!)
Hope this helps. Welcome to the DE club! With all the new modules you've certainly picked the right time to join! ![]()
The best way to grind DE is make MSE droids until you can make Adv. Droid Frames. Once there grind your way up to Master. Adv Frames is in the Droid Blueprints Tree (think its the second box-Advanced Blueprints). As Adv Frames only take 2 resources (steel & fibreplast) and give a fair bit of xp, its probably the way to go. Id stock up with both these resources though, you need ALOT of em to get to master.
As for droid trainers on Tatooine, according to SWG.Stratics they are in the following locations (Stratics can be out of date so they may have moved, but they should give you an idea where to find em)
