Never made the 5 or 6 modules before so my question is: If the segment from the armoursmith has added heat layers etc, will those bonuses be transfered to the droid. Or do I just need to but your basic segment without any additions?
Thanks for your time guys and gals.

I got max droid resists, on final L6 droid armor module, from using a plain composite armor segment with no additional layers. I don't believe the added layer bonuses would help the finished armor.

Star's right, use the cheapest, dirtiest, weakest segments made of mud and straw and you get exactly the same end result. I just ask an AS to make me a schematic using the worst resources I have available and then run the things off myself, saves a lot of money and hassle that way.

I experimented with a few things.
I had an armorsmith use the same materials and experiment highly on a Comp Armor Segment.
Then, I had him just pop one out without any experimentation.
When I created Droid Armor Modules from these 2 segments, using the same materials, and experimenting the same max %, they were exactly the same.
So, my conclusion is that the Comp Armor Segment make-up has no effect on the final outcome of the Droid Armor Module.
