That would be me.....I am trying to build a friend a med droid, so I am using a ADV Surgical droid deed....the schematic has nothing about a medical module in it...I follow the schematic to the letter....a general module cluster, an armor module in the defense slot.......at what point can I add a level 6 med module? can it be added after the droid is made.....I have to admit, it is not very self explanatory as to how to add modules....and what slots they work in.....I think this ADV Surgical droid I spent hours on hand crafting and experimenting up may only be good as a bookend.....any expert help is appreciated.

The med module goes into the general module cluster when it's built. Up to 3 modules can go into a cluster when it's made.
Nothing can be added after the droid is made.
So you jave a nice book end, or maybe conversation peice...
In this case you probably didn't have to do all the experimenting... nothing in a Med droid needs it, even HAM isn't that useful. And if you were -just- going to have a level 6 med module, a normal surgical droid would have done, or even a MSE... depends on a customer's taste I suppose.

Thanks Velneth....put the modules (Med, auto-repair, etc) in the General cluster BEFORE assembly of the general cluster, then put general cluster (with mods) in droid during final assembly....I see now....It took a REAL Master to walk me through it...many thanks

Yep, that's how it goes...
and I'm not a MDE
I'm a 4-3-3-4 DE at the moment... waiting on my harvesters to pull up enough steel for the last push...
and I'm not a MDE

You know, I really do feel bad for new DE's coming into the game. There are sooooo many caviats and things to know about this class...like the fact that storage modules don't work in surgical droid chassis, or that biped droids can't be renamed (or even the procedure on how to name droids for that matter), or that structure maintenance modules are tempermental, especially in R3s, and the list goes on. Thanks goodness we have FAQs and this DE community they can go to...assuming they know its here.
