Thread: Ahazi DEs price check please
I was hoping you would reply. My last couple pricing surveys didn't really help me as it seems like it is getting harder and harder to compare like to like with all the new variations in both our craft and the people practicing it. Thanks again for the advice.
Example: How much will a Doc make buffing in 10 min. with one your droids? Or 1 hour? Or 1 week?
All of a sudden, a med droid that costs just 10-15k more doesn't sound like all that bad of a deal.
If you only go by YOUR bottom line to produce the product, you are selling your product short.

Respectfully,
I'm not from Ahazi, but these prices look pretty familiar ... about what most DE's on flurry charge (which IMHO they're short changing themselves badly, and in turn short changing me!!!
)
I'll throw tghe prices I like to charge down below....

Hello Ahazi DE's
First forgive me for not posting this in the trade forums but I wanted a more focused answer than I think I would receive there. This is not an advertising post but rather I am reversing the normal pricing threads. I am asking Ahazi DEs if these prices for some typical models of droids are competitive. I do not wish to undercut the rest of you. I have been selling these pretty regularly for a while now. The quality of resources I have leads me to about 92-98% of rated maximums for all modules and final droid HAMs. Ahazi DEs let me know what you think of these please.
Budget Nurse model - 10K 30K
MSE or DZ70 with L6 storage and 110 Med
Nurse Model - 35K 70K
R2 with L6strg, crafting station, and 110Med
Field Nurse Model - 65K 100K
R3 adv with L6strg, crafting station, 110MED, 3stimpak
Tank Probot - 50K 90K
Probot adv with 5 Auto repair
Heavy-fire Probot - 60K 95K
Probot adv with 5 102 rated combat mods
Thanks
I'm a firm believer in high priced, good quality droids.
a doctor will make their money back on any droid they purchase from me in one night, and that droid will last them forever!!!
My combat probots can be prices from 80-100 K depending on HAM, and combat /autorepair ratings.
I've managed to collect all the best resources that have been on my server, sometimes at 10+cpu for rare, old spawn stuff. A combat class can easily get a buff, go do missions and have their droid payed for in one night. As i believe Straker put it in one thread, "the combat types will pay 200-300K for comp armour that will last them maybe 2 weeks, but won't pay 75K for a droid that will last them forever...." Droid have a lot of value.... but I think perhaps too many DE's fail to realize the value of these droids.......
I sell 107 rated harvesting droids for 110K.... I actually had someone tell me that they would pay double that if i could get over a 110 rated harvest droid! That's a person that really understands the value of what he's getting. Yet last night, someone asked me for a harvest, and a combat droid... i said 200K for the best that can be made on the server. He said he coudln't pay that, and 25K was all he would pay. I explained that he would be hard pressed to find better droids, even counting future spawns, and that these droids would last him forever... he still woudln't budge... i asked how long he'd been playing for, figuring I was talking to someone fairly new (inwhich case i'd be happy to work out some sort of deal for them... ) but no.. this fellow had been playing for over a year! it just boggles my mind... i basically told him about another DE on the server, where he could get a 104 rated harvest droid for 55K... (which i think is way too cheap....doctors will buy good quality meet for 100cpu +.... one night of using your new harvest droid hunting can easily pay for the droid, if not a few times over...)
In some ways, i really wish that we were limited by which modules could go into which droids... should a MSE model really have a 110 % medical center in it?? I don 'really think so... if we all put just lvl 3 or 4 modules into the MSE/DZ70 droids, sold them for 20-30 k, then lvl 4 or 5 in the wed/r5 models for 40-60K, etc etc... people would see more value in the droids they are buying I think. Instead, we all make and put the highest rated modules in our droids, and charge for them as if it was a beginners model....
I know i went a little OT, but I've been so frustrated by the low, cheapass, make minimal profit, by the other DE's on my server.... /endrant
That being said, I do repsect the right of each one of us to charge what we think is good.... i just wish i could convince everyone that they could be making so much more! heheh

But, that's just me. I've always encouraged DEs to slowly price up over time. If we don't, we'll collectively run our market(s) into the ground.
