Thread: TK Info on the Maint Droid bug. Why it does it.
Be interesting to test out.
We'll stay on it....this is my number one thing to get fixed (till it's "done").

I'm not sure what the status on this is, if they found the problem, or jsut havn't had time to fix it, however, I think I know why they break when you Destroy a structure.
There are actually 3 bugs with this module.
1. They are really picky about what configurations they go into (not related to this post.)
2. They stop working when a structure is destroyed withotu taking the droid off first.
3. When removing a structure from the Maint list, no matter what Structure you choose, it always removes the bottom structure. So if you really want to remove a structure, you need to remove them all. This bug is not very well known.
I think that #3 is the cause for #2.
You Destroy the structure, it tries to remove the structure from the list. Yet instead, it removes the bottom structure. So you end up with the Destroyed Structure still being on the list, yet not really existing anymore. Viola you have a broken module.
Fix #3 and I think you fix #2 as well.
I've been hitting QA pretty relentless today, so I'll see if I can give this one a go around. If what you say is true, then a droid with only one structure assigned should still functoin if the structure is redeeded. I'll go ahead and start off with this one and let you know.
Now, to find out where I put that BER 1 harvester I had sitting around with 5k on it.

- Droid Foundry # 1
- Droid Foundry # 2
- Equipment Factory
The first entry was nothing more than a blank listing. I proceeded to delete the entry, which resulted in the bottom listing being deleted, so I had to repeat this set for each of the other 3 entries as well, until I was left with a blank edit Maintenance List. I closed the window and attempted to access the list again and was greeted by the system message 'The maintenance list for this droid is empty. Go to one of your structures and assign this droid to maintain it', which of course means that the darn thing is functioning properly again. I stored the droid and pulled it out again and haven't had a problem with it yet.
Same thing with the second droid as well. I'm going to test this one out a few more times, however I think that this may be it. I'm not sure about the first droid, but then again I deleted it before I ran a through test on it.....
I'll keep everyone updated
I've now tested this workaround out on the same two droidsand haven't hit a dead end yet. To speed up the refresh rate on trying to get the menu to show up you can hit ~ and the number that the Structure Maintenance radial is under, which is normally 4. Edit Maintenance List is the default for this menu.

LOL, its Straker, more and more people keep doing that. Stalker makes me feel like I should be running from the cops.
DOH....I get my name butchered all the time. TH used to call me Drask....
Drashk, what happens if you fill it up, then delete a structure. At work, so I can only brainstom, can't test. Will the just keep clicking on the dang thing work in that case? Wouldn't the extra slot put it at 10 items?
Once you have the 9 on your list and redeed 1, you can't add another until you delete it from the edit list. The problem that I did run across with 8 structures and 1 blank slot was that it took me about 40-50 refreshes of the menu before the edit list finally popped up. Once I removed all 9 strcutures, the droids radial worked once again without problems.
The droid's configuration is storage (10 items) and structure maintenance (Rating 13) with a worshipful personality chip.
Off the top of my head I put on the list a cantina, 2 large Naboo houses, a medium Naboo house, a small generic house, 3 small Naboo (Style 2) a factory and a harvester. (I think.. It's been awhile.)
The 2 houses were redeeded first. I knew about the bug but was only thinking about it when dealing with harvesters and completely forgot for the houses. The harvester has also been redeeded since. The rest remain.
So by the time I got bugged, the maintenance list was full. Now it theoretically has 7 items left, 3 of them bugged.
However, it won't let me add more after the bugging, suggesting that it was't a case of the last item being deleted instead.
Tried storing/recalling a few times, traded it to a different character to try, tried recharging (It had been at 50% when I started) but through any number of refreshes, I can not bring the list up.
