I posted a little blurb about this in the Issues thread Drashk started, but I'd like to get some input from other DEs and try to nail down how widespread this is.
Lately (post pub10) I have begun to notice my Probot has a new Sound issue. Occasionally when using his ranged attack, instead of a blaster bolt, he sill "spit" like a Pet ranged attack. I know for sure that there is no Bolt firing animation when it happens, but I cant remember if there is a Spit animation instead.
I would like anyone interested to please run a few tests, on other servers, and with other ranged attack droids as well.
This along with the old "eating noise" bug, make for a somewhat undroidy experience.

Its actually been happening for longer than that, since publish 8 I believe, possibly 7. I haven't really payed much attention to it, but I'll see if I can dig up some info. I do know its retroactive (one of my pre-publish 7 probots makes the sound) so it isn't anything with droids made during a specific time.

I've only noticed it on the probot ranged attacks, but thats pretty much all I use.

Is the the Sound issue limited to just Probots? Combat Droids? Or all Droids?

I have not noticed the sound, but I can confirm that my probot has killed things without the blaster bolt animation.
Since the probot has a ranged attack, why doesn't it use it at range? My probot will kill some things at range, but all too often it charges in to zero range when attacking. I would rather it stayed next to me and used it's blaster.
One day I had some evil settlers spawning when I was trying to load up my factories. I took Robby out and set him to guard me. When the next wave of settlers showed up I watched Robby fly all over place, killing each settler at zero range. How is that a ranged attack?
