last night i had a ch tell how much he hated droids and that his pets are better than my droids. i told him its not my fault and that i justassemble thedroids, i dont design them. i reminded him that droids play more roles than pets and everyone and anyonecan use my droids with the exception of specific ones with specific module functions. he claimed that owning a droid even costs more than owning a pet due to having to buy so many batteries.
i guessppl expect our droids to be as effective as a superbattle droid but ofcourse they are not. i wish we could build something like that, even if it costed a million metal units to do so. i told the guy that we build the best we can till we have something better to build. maybe then his pets wont be so great.

Next time, just ask him to have his pet hold an item for him. Ask him to have his pet heal someone, or help him craft, or help him track a down Jedi, or heal other pets, or put on a light show, or give out waypoints, or even for ask him to have his pet pay maintenance on a structure.
When he tells you that his petcan't do any of those things, you can simple reply 'I'm sorry that my droids are better then your pets.'

Yep, CH pets are better than droids in combat... but then again they spent skillpoints on that. Combat droids and non-CH pets are on a fairly even level (they've both got their advantages/disadvantages) but there's also so many more capabilities for droids. As drashk pointed out, the day I say a creature is better than my droid is the same day creatures start doing all these other things.

I'm a CH/BE with a number of pets. If they were so much better why have I got so many droids?
As pointed out earlier creatures can't do to much, they probably beat droids in combat but there is more to the gqame than hitting stuff. I personally use mine to support my creatures in combat, help build better stims and creatures, harvest from kills, hold additional equipment. I also have a protocol droid waiting for delivery (when myself and the creator are both online) that will be mainly used around cities as a mobile hospital and crafting station.
However still think my pets are great. 
)
