What is the benefit to having two merchant barker or two musician playback modules in a droid? I've been working and haven't had chance to play much.

There is no benefit to two merchant modules in there. The playback modules are good to stack for musicians. Each one gives them a track they can record on. So they can have six recordings on one droid. Note though that u can only play one track at a time.
