Thread: To the Devs
I just wanted to thank you for all teh hard work you have done on taking away everything Star Wars in the game. You add to Brawler and Melee classes and take away from the ranged weapons. Funny, I always thought Star Wars was about blasters. Well, soon this is going to be just another EQ game. We are all going to be wielding swords and fighting with our hands.

Wanted to clarify a few things.
My biggest grief is that instead of adding content add getting current things working you spend your time nerfing each class.
Ex. Master Pistoleer.
You took away the ranged knockdown. I understand that this might have been an issue in PvP, but everytime you nerf soemthing in PvP it affects all aspects of the game. I believe the Master Pistoleer should have a ranged knockdown. But, instead of taking it away maybe more energy should have been placed into adding resistances to knockdowns in other professions and getting them working correctly.
It just bothers me that you always want to take away but never seem to add. Here are few things that really bother me about the things that have been done and the way things are.
1. Bounty Hunters - Sure they are said to be the most elite of the classes. But to climb a tree of the pistols skills in BH are the exact same requirements for one tree in Pistoleer. If they are so elite shouldn't it require even greater requirements ?
2. Faction Pets - AT-ST's are WAY overpowered. I would estimate about 25% of all Imperials have them now and Rebels have absolutely nothing to counter them. They hit for over 1000 HAM (they have 18k HAM themselves) per hit most of the time incapp'ing you instantly. They have such large resistances. The only one that can do decent damage is the brawler types (which makes no sense because they are hitting solid metal with their hands or swords...not realiastic). Faction pets should also not be allowed to be traded to another person. AT-ST should alos be near impossible to acquire unless you even the playing field. Maybe a Rebel faction weapon desinged to do better damage to them.
3. PvP and PvE - When you nerf something for PvP it also carries over into the PvE enviroment. Most creatures have their resistances based around the ranged attack. Lets take a Rancor for example. It's resistances are so high versus ranged attacks. Yet, a Master TKA can do large amounts of damage to them. If you think about that, wouldnt punching a Rancor have less effect then hitting him with a precison ranged weapon ? Im not saying nerf any class by any means. I am saying maybe some more detail should be placed on the actual combat modifiers and resistances rather than doing any type of nerfing. Granted when a TKA and a Ranged weapon players gets into a fight and it is in close quarters the Ranged person should be beat 100% of the time.
There are many things that could be done to more balance the PvP fights rather than nerfing the classes because people are complaining that it is "unfair". At the current rate we will all be back to fighting Durni and Paralope soon.
Just some thoughts that I had that I feel I needed to express. I want to put Star Wars back into the game.

at this rate in another year (dang it has almost been1!) i figure this game will have so many cool things (and more droids
) it wont even reseamble the release game.
yes thank you! This publishnot only fixed long overdue bugs but mended the problems that came out in publish 7.
Now all I ask, if it is any problem at all for just one more thing: make it so we can name our humanoid droids!
Im sure that the smuggler and squad leader revamp are very promissing to see this great track record of revamps.... and lets not forget Rangers too ![]()
