having some porblems with it. I can name the Chassis and name the Deed but when the droid is activated it reverts to basic name. Thought this was sapose to be fixed?? Well just add it to the list of f-up's we DE's have to live with. Its part of the trade i guess, we are to be forever plauqed by bugs and faults in our prof.

You can re-name pets/droids when activated by going 2 the programme menu and choose any option then type /tellpet example s

You have 2 do this 4 times and then pet/droid learns name

You then of course have 2 programme the droid again

Hope that helps

There is nothing wrong with droid naming...well unless you call the way we have to do it wrong (which I do)

Or of course if you're speaking of the 'talky droids' which have never been namable..a longstanding bug.

program first 4 commands with name in front of command..droid learns name..reprogram. Painful but works.

Numbers, special characters and some 'special words' are not allowed.

There you have it.

I haven't renamed a droid in months ... i just tried recently and i couldn't rename the same way i used to do it 5 months ago either.

I entered the exact same words...and it did not work...

two things, either they filtered the words / letters since or they change dthe way you rename them.

You name the droid in the same way you name pets its not stupid as Droid Names are in fact "nicknames" they come from the Factory (us) with serial Numbers but no "Names" R2D2 is his Designation not his name his name is Artoo, just like C3P0 is Threepo, and droids need to "learn" there Nicknames just like pets do.

Ke'la is a Master Rifleman/retireing Ranger and Waylon is an ID/DE
Me'na is the mayor of the City of Obalisic

Well it looks like C3P0 and Surgical still can't be renamed..

Has anyone tried to rename a surgical with a persona chip installed ?

Well I noticed something weird. When naming a dz70 I had to do it in this format: name command

But when naming an R unit I had to name it like this: command name

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem?
