I got a couple of crates of these last night from our DE. Here are some quick impressions, thought you all might be interested.
Well, they're FUN, I can tell you that. 4400-5000 damage. BOOM Baby BOOM! Hahahahahaha!
Little things I noticed.
They're ok against large critters, not so much so NPC's. The NPC's seem to wander around to much to get more than one.
You have to program it to group first, otherwise you don't seem to be able to loot or harvest.
You can tell it to Follow Other just fine, and away it goes, but the range is too short if you have a TEF or negative faction.
The damage is cool, but tricky to use.
It's wobbling between nifty and novelty. A ranged detonation command would make these REALLY useful.
I tried a variety of /tellpet things, but couldn't get the countdown started except through the radial menu.
I took out pleny of banthas one hit.
Did some faction missions, unarmored NPCs blew away like leaves, Troopers, with blast resistance, needed some follow up with /fanshot. I could do a mission JUST with these at 2k a pop, and still make money, but pistols and heavy weapons are better and, in the long run cheaper.
I liked the idea of the R3 Nuke-droids. I'm gonna see if we can't make some of these and go blow up some stuff on Dathomir. I can't do 50K blast damage with ANY of my weapons, that will make those REALLY useful for softening up tough rooms. /cackle

I love them. I hope the mice work out for solo PvP'ing if not, they will be fun PvE fodder. The 40 ham on them is a bit low, IMO with the 3 second delay especially.
The R3's are turret killers, couldn't ask for anything better.

Sounds like you understand the deal with the Mouse HAM. The fact the the mouse droids get a +10 bonus per module, and that they are REALLY cheap to produce makes them the logical choice for the job.
The R3s can pack enough armor and HAMto survive the trip to the turrents, but they cost ALOT.

If the DZ70's had the detonation bonus they would be great against turrets too. Not nearly the same damage as R3's but cheaper to make and better HAM than the MSE's.

DE's been putting them in the mice because they are they are easy to make. In adn ADV droid you can put defence module and a bomb, or two bombs I believe. It would be better to have 2 bombs in one so if a mouse one dies you dont loose to much.

The destruction is ordered by the /detonateDroid command or via the droid's radial menu.

If the droid is incapped it goes back to your datapad
One reason MSE's are so popular is that they get a + 10 detonation bonus
