Thread: Attention all DEs! Make credits in ways you've never dreamed!
I don't think this has been posted before but I sell a lot of these now:
Droid Chassis specifically named to advertise in shops or to decorate houses!
This is an affordable solution for the saavy Shop Owner who doesnt have the Merchant Advertising Skills. Just put whatever the shop owner wants in the title (when you make the chassis. The owner can then drop the chassis in his house with his customized message displayed above the droid. Looks stylish too with custom paint jobs to match the furniture.
For example, I sell many Advanced R2 chassis with titles like "Bob's Armor Shop: Affordable Quality Armor at Affordable Prices!" or Protocol Droids with "Welcome to Jay's Furniture - Send a /tell to Jay for Custom Made Colors and Designs!".
The best thing is these wont permadie and many people will want more than one!
I hope this helps out some of you starving DE's out there.

Yes, i've sold a few of these (more often than full droids). We are selling the "skins" of our droids as furniture... how sad it that?
Never really thought about it that way. Like I wasn't bummed enough already. ![]()
Hey i have another cool idea along the same lines...A Droid that you can place in your home that will talks to your customers, welcomes them in and gives helpfull info for you when you are busy, cracks joke for your customers while you work that hey can see. Oh wait that is the protocal droid sorry though we had a chance there..

Question for people selling frames.
How much are you getting for these in comparison to the final droid? It seems to me it shouldnt be too much lower in price due to the majority of the parts go into the chassis, but its hard selling just a chassis to a customer for not much less than they are used to paying for a working one.
That's it!
