What is the difference between all the difference droid module? What is the different using a R5 unit with armor IV and medical module VI and food/chem crafting station vs using a surgical droid with the same module?
I know the probot has a cheap attack module, but is that it?

Lets take how broken we are step by step.

A droid's usefullness is solely dependant on the modules installed with3 exceptions. This being the Probot, the DZ70 and the Power droid. Certiain modules have limits to how high they can go; Item storage: 10 items Medical Module: 110 medical rating. Armor works somewhat like this:
1x lvl 1 = light armor 12% resists.
2x lvl 1 = light armor 25% resists
1x lvl 2 = light armor 25% resists.
2x lvl 2 = light armor 40% resists.
1x lvl 3 = light armor 40% resists.
2x lvl 3 =medium armor 25% resists.
1x lvl 4 = medium armor 25% resists
2x lvl 4 = medium armor 40% resists (highest possible armor rating)
I havn't tested level 5 armor due to needing composite armor segments from a armorsmith.
1x lvl 6 = medium armor 40% resists.

There is not a "attack" module. sometimes I wish there was so that you could see a fighting R2 or a mouse droid (wouldn't that be funny
). I mentioned before about three exceptions: the Probot, and the DZ70 have the innate ability to attack. It is uniqe to both of them. The DZ70 is usually considered worthless as a attack droid due to having only 45 HAM. The Power droid is unique because of it's abiltity to recharge a droid's internal battery and heal another droid's mind wounds.
Throw in the abiltity to build chasis to look cool in people's houses and color only some of our droids and you that the entirety of our profession. Check out the FAQ for additional questions. Most of them are answered.

No difference... only droids with innate abilities are DZ-70, Probot and Power droids. The first two can attack, the last can recharge. It all comes down to looks (at least right now, and for the foreseeable future). The only difference is how they look... some people prefer certain types of droid chassis over other types. Some also are conversational.
