Not acceptable

We deserve... _ something. If you don't know what this post is about, I'm even more appauld. Holocron or Q-3PO should address this forum. I will not be happy if they push the new guy, who starts monday, to post here. That would be a cruel thing for you to do and you know it. no, Q or Holo, or better yet the actual dev.

This patch ... oh my this patch, and the subsiquent hotfixes... look, I would have been not as upset if you pulled the customization tool from test, knowing it was bugged, but you pushed it live knowing it was bugged. We're buged enough.

If you walk away with anything at all from this thread let it be this: All currentproblems with DE's stem from the addition of this tool. If you had fixed it on test center, or pulled it from the patch to fix it later, there would be no new problems for Droid engeneers. Instead, you ASSuMEd it would all go fine fixing it once it went live and made an a$$ outof you and ME. my customers are not happy with ME, some blame ME for these problems. some accuse ME of ripping them off. not acceptable. you know as well as I do that people like their posessions in any game, and get very upset and acuse other players if things go wrong.

Next time the test center reports something broken, take the time to fix it or don't put it in at all. At least we know that it's coming. You pulled customization once I don't see why you let it through this time, we were happy to see it, we were understanding when it was pulled to fix and postpone it. Please tighten up the test-live push in the bug area. Test center should have patches more than a few weeks, they should be in front of the live servers by a month or two or three. Live is a deliverable, if you were contracting out programming to others with this set up you would likely be dropped from the payroll.

and while I'm ranting.

Hey DE dev. it's called documentation, ya, you learn it in those CS classes you took in school. Put some notes about what you did everytime you touch a file. Put it in the check-in notes when you check a file back in, so we start knowing what the heck is going on with our class. No you are not better than others, you need documentation just like everyone else. I appreciate the work you do, but we need more information.

If I didn't put comments about what I did in my files I would probably lose my job.

by the way, I'm trying to be cunstructive, really I am.
