I have always wanted to be a DE for the longest time thinking I could build a Droideka and only 1 I could care less about more, and join the rebels with it fighting those **edit** Commandos and BHs on the imperials.....all hope is lost.

Now with this recent hotfix, Droid Engineer, as a profession, cannot do anything. Not only THAt but our DEV has went to help the almight Creature Handlers? WHAT!?

Obviousley we've been agrovated enough, from the day the game was released....to current day, our profession has gone near useless. I'm thinking something has to be done to get the dev's attention onto all of us pleeing for help, they're the ones making money off of us, yet they think they can either play with their favorite classes or sit around and drink Ice Tea. Obviousley, this posting of various plees and calls for help haven't worked much, so what can us small amount of people, as the future Droid Engineers of the galaxy do to get some attention? I've come up with a couple ideas:

1. We convince everyone to take up the profession that has the extra points regardless of how badly gimp our profession is, and all gather in one spot (in game) and start having riots/protests through various towns and such (basically combine the people of all galaxies to all do it at once in the same spot almost paralell just can't gather in the same spot because of the different glaaxies so it looks like it was all arranged and could make a serious point).

2. We put an official written and signed petition (non-forum) and get many signatures that we can possibly fit, I'm sure even those who aren't a DE would sign it too.

Now I'm sorry this is all I can think of, I'm trying to to go through anything to harsh or immature that wouldn't even get the dev's attention anyways.

Please post your opinions/suggestions , I'd really like to get some supporters.

On another note, Droidekas would not be hard programming at all considering the models are already there (if you've seen them on Lok) and combine them with some programming from Probots and add a second gun and you got what we want (except with a few this and thats )

Maybe if we get the ability to make the speeders and the swoop bikes we could fix this. Imagine all DE's riding around on their newly crafted speeders or swoops, showing them off and flaunting them....and refusing to sell them to anyone till we get some fixes. How many bounty hunters will want to be riding an Eopie?

We can keep our profession, but not sell Droids to anyone as part of our strike, it might not make a lot of people mad butit might prove a point.

I'm thinking about the Vehicle situation....Honestley since the Droid profession itself is broken, they could combine it with the vehicle engineering profession making a profession:

Mechanical Engineer

and take componments from both like for example

first column have all the schematics for creating the Base Droids

second column have the modules/weapons for vehicles/droids for further programming

third for vehicle schematics

fourth for various customizations to Droids/Vehicles (colors, size, decals, etc.)

this could be an ok idea, but then you have to consider HUGE starships, I'm not thinking from the Mechanical Engineer profession idea I have that you could make a Star Destroyer... from probably not even master...

Just to fan the flame--how about someone streaking accross a televised NFL football game with a plea for "SOE fix DE" painted on themselves.--hahahahahahahahahaha

I am a Hockey fan myself so I don't think it very likey gonna happen there.

LOL -- I have to admit, that would be classic.

DEs cant build droids, droids cant be used and if they can be used they are useless and all things that have something to do with droids are bugged. so DEs can only do on thing, they can walk and they can shout.

best would be to bring playerevents, where all DEs gather and walk through the main cities protesting.

I mentioned this before about a month ago, but you should write letters into the gaming magazines as this will probably get your gripes about SWG more exposure to the public (who have yet to buy the game, but might be thinking about it). All your petitions and all your in game protests won't do or mean anything to the Dev's or SOE. But if sales of the game drop off - or if you quit your account - that might.

Just a thought!

Personally, I'm just waiting it out.... things will get fixed eventually even though it is quite frustrating. And if you don't want to pay for a buggy game then quit the game for a couple of months or even 1/2 a year and then come back! There are options at least...

I'm sad to say that i'm going to play CH until Droids are fixed....to the darkside I go! Maybe if everyone played Ch and realise the game was another version of po ke mon then they'd have to nerf CHs a little and help other classes.

I also think SOE needs to start hiring again for all that money we pay them, if I worked there I would not have a life working with Tech Support and I would be proud as long as I'm helping others.

SoulSaber, SOE already took care of this one for us...they made it so we cant make them therefore we dont sell them. Maybe they are working on your other points as we speak.

we could all call customer service at a specific time and day flooding their phone lines with DE complaints... just a thought

Seemingly EVERYBODY already is a CH, or at least uses non-CH pets. They haven't noticed yet.
