Hey all, I'm not a DE. I once bought a probot because it looked cool, but it basically sits in my inventory now (I'm sure you know why).
I get this feeling I'm missing out on something, though, so I thought I'd ask: what else can droids do? I don't need super details, but what can I do with a droid?

There are basically 6 things you can do with a droid:
- Attack
- Give you the ability to heal wounds without being in a med-centre or camp
- Store up to 10 items for you
- Store up to 150 schematics for you
- Act as a portable crafting station (food/chem, armor/clothing, weapon/droid/generic, and structure)
- Repair/recharge other droids
Some droids can only do one of those things, some can do most of them. Basically, it's a mix and match type thing.

Btw, thanks for the quick and clear reply. I may have to get me a droid. :-)

You know, if your probot has medium armor, then you should use it in battle. The probot does NOT count against the number of creatures you can have out, so it can only assist you. Moreover, send it in first, unless you're pvp. The Armor will allow it to take an awful large amount of damage, freeing you to deliver damage unscathed. You might be surprised.

I'm a TK, so the probot doesn't help much in getting aggro, and it doesn't do much damage either. I have occasionally brought it out for fun, but then I found that it ran out of power and stuck it away forever. Now that I know there are bots that can power other bots, I may just start using it again.

Sorry Jeff, the data module can only store schematics at the moment. You used to be able to put pets, droid, waypoints, and missions in a droid datapad, but each of these was nerfed out.
