Thread: Master Droid Engineer throws in the towel
After all this time and Droids are STILL in this sad state. It's a mockery and an insult to veteran mmorpg gamers. I won't support it any longer.

will hold on a little longer, Although i already calculated what to become when i drop Master DE. I propably wait another 4 weeks. If nothing changes till then. Bye Bye DE. But there is much more then crafting droids. So i dont give it up that fast.

We have seen only one thing for DE: nerf
We are always waiting the probot unnerf (pet lvl 15 is better than our best combat droid with best modules)
Modules were nerf instead of fixing bugs and exploits on it
Only 2 fixes this month and nothing about usefull modules or really usefull droid...
Our only market is selling droid for medic and crafting station...
I'm almost there as well. I'm tired of too many broken pieces of this game. Another patch day comes, and it sounds like another piece of broken DE gaming will be added to the scrap heap with droid customization.
I'm still willing to give it a little bit more, but maybe I should switch to a profession where there is some utility - like Chef.

Our day should have been here on release heh... How many months after release are we and the proffession is still in bad shape?

Can you point me to where this was said? The last I read from Sintrossi was his/her honest opinion that nothing wouldprobably be done until after the new year since the next big updates would be player cities and mounts. Here is the quote I refer to:
"If the wait is driving you crazy My suggestion isfind another profession and explore a bit for now. Or even shelve your account for a few months. We will be fixed. Just not tommorow." - this in the weely report stuck to the top of the page...
I may have missed a post so I'd appreciate some info if only to appease my frustration.
Well I have to say, I will never be one of these people quiting the game OR quiting the DE profession.
I was one the lucky ones to get to test DE during beta 2. If you think things are bad now, think yourselves lucky you wasn't around then... droids had a very similar issue to the new "can't tame" thing... except the issue was that when purchasing them from the bazaaer, the player was unable to retrieve the droid.. and everytime you tried to transfer one from your inventory, it crashed 
I also had the (can you call a fortune?) of not actualy buying the game on release day. I waited a month to let the game settle a bit, and then continued from where I left off in beta .. went straight in and headed for the DE recruiter.
My point is that from my beta days, I have been well aware of the current state of droids ... hell they barely made into release. It was literaly in the last week of Beta that they were fixed enough to the point that they actually work! Even though these issues exists, I will always remain a DE through the game's final days.
Ever since I was a little 6 yearold watching Star Wars: A New Hope... glaring at the screen with wide eyes and a gaping mouth... I have wanted my own R2-D2. Ever since I was slightly older and into electronics, I've wanted to build one! The very first thought I had when I got off the beta shuttle and spread my toes in the Tatooine sand was "I want a droid.. I want a droid.. I WANT A DROID!". The very first thought I have when I log into the game (even now, after I've calmed down over the latest patch) is "I wonder how my R2 unit is doing today ... *CTRL-D .. hit tame* "
There is still lots of fun to have in this game... and droids open up a rare oppotunity of constant roleplaying with an NPC/mob. Instead of getting upset of its current state and "throwing in the towel" just take a breather and enjoy what little we DO have. Build yourself an R2 unit and roleplay with it. It's not that hard!
P.S. be careful, R2 units now bite people as off the last patch
