Thread: Yet another droid problem
It seems that droids are sucking up batteries like there was no tomorrow at this point...
Several customers contacted me, and asked why their droids were eating batteries like crazy.
I can confirm this. My Advanced Probot ate 4 batteries in 1 day. It had never asked me for power before and now it ate 4 batteries. And guess what.. now my pets never get hungry...... You got to love the what happens with bug fixes lol.

Wow, my probot eats a battery charge about every 15 or 20 minutes. I like the idea of droids needing batteries, as this provides a reason to buy a Power Droid, (except that a customer couldn't use a power droid by himself because he couldn't pull both his power droid and his uncharged droid from the datapad -- but this is another issue), but they shouldn't need but one charge every one or two hours.
It would also be cool if you could simply 'load' a droid with a crate of batteries, and not have to deal with it for several days.
It is true. They also no longer take a charge when they are stored in the datapad. The moment I call my probot is begins chanting *Low Power*.
Well the reason that mine takes 4 batteries in 1 day is because I only bring it out to heal myself. Once it started asking for so much power I decided to store it and take it out only when needed just because I never carry that many batteries with me. As I said, this is the first time the droid every asked me for power, so I thought carying 4 batteries in beackpack would be enough for any ocassion.

well this can be a good thing... at least we can sell batteries (one of the only things in DE that actually work like their supposed to).
In all seriousness, i like the idea of droids not powering up when in the data pad, but i think that draining power every 15 minutes is a bit rediculous. Maybe every 2 hours or so, that would make more sense to me. If they keep the droids from powering up when stored then Droid batteries will still be useful and we can sell them again!!! There is no reason for the droids to suck up batteries at the rate they are though.
I am doing massive factory runs of crates of batteries...
If you experiment them up to 95%, each battery has 4 charges in it.
I think they were always like this. Just that when you stored them in datapad they would get recharged, so people never really noticed. That's not the case anymore, they don't get recharged.
My store typical lineup before Friday's patch:
- 1 light probot
- 2 heavy probots
-2 R4 combo
-2 protocol droids
- 5 crates of arakyds
- 5 crates of seekers
- 3 droid batteries
- 1 power droid
After Friday's patch and Saturday's hot "fix":
- 20 droid battery crates *lol*
- 2 heavy probots
- 5 crates of arakyds
- 5 crates of probots
