Thread: The Plot Behind The Droid Engineering Profession
I still see alot of complaining about neglect of the Droid Engineering profession. This weekends introduction of the "Internal Server Error" has certainly had the intended effect that SOE was hoping for. You should all know this was not a mistake. NO! You should all know that the neglect and bugs are not an accident! This is a concerted focused effort. It is exactly what SOE wants to happen. .........
Do you all believe "really" that SOE is that incompetent? After all, there are plenty of examples of where things do work. Yes some that even work very well. Thats is why we all still play! There areprofessions that do seem to be fairly solid. Just look at the CH profession. So you really think that all the BUGS and neglect is not on purpose?
You see SOE is run by the empire. Yes, DarthVader himself is the producer of this game. REALLY! Their whole intent is to introduce frustration, confusion, rage, insecurity, a willingness to compromise your ideals. A desire to lie cheat and steal, YES! .... all the things you have to do, to be successful as a droid engineer. I mean really ... do you truly believe that 4 months after going live they dont know how to make a patch that doesn't introduce an error like the "Internal Server Error". No ... They knew what they were doing. They did it on purpose. See how much frustratrion it caused. See how many people were unhappy. THIS IS TRULY THIER DARK GOAL.
Think about it .... How many of you wanted to actbadly?How many of you wanted to vent your rage. Even express your emotions violently?... You see what I mean? How manyof you wanted to scream and howlat the stars? How many of you wanted tofind a developer and perform dark mysterious trandoshan torture techniques on them? The whole purpose of this game is for everyone to be unhappy. To be in a complete state of frustration. To be moved to embrace the Dark side. The only players that seem to behappy are the ones that can flame thrower everyone or those thatexploit.See what I mean?
Who would be motivated my makeing the path to being a Jedi a mysterious dark processes. A path marred buy softwarebugs and just plain frustration. Who wouldhave the desire to limit the number of Jedi? Yes your right .... it would be the Dark Side. In the movies theJedi were a part of theentire society.Withyoda teaching the youngones lightsaber techniques.It was the emporer and DarthVader that destroyed the Jedi and it is they that want to supress new ones from being born. Therefore they make the path anever never nebulosity of never ending possibilities. Are you getting it yet?
Yes the Dark Side is in charge!! But take heart ... You are truly masters of your own fate. Fight your desire to behave badly. Build a code of conduct that will serve the Light side of the force. Organize! Yes organize and fight the Dark Side. Refuse to be taken in by the lame excuses and the oopsie we missed that one and thelack of acknowledgement. Meditate and practise your skills. Explore and take in the great wonder of the universe. Do the right thing!! Do the right thing for yourself and the other players and your customers. Do not allow the Dark side to Rule. Fight their oppression.Do not allow yourselves to lose hope.
