Ok guys, I've never posted on the main board but I think it's time to take action..

This is STAR WARS, and I love the idea of making Droids..I love seeing them out walking the streets, I love thinking of new color schemes, I love hearing ambient droids noises in Mos Eisley, but our proffesion is broken. What is the one common thing people blame for this lack of fix and attention?

THERE AREN'T MANY OF US, PEOPLE DON"T THINK DROIDS ARE IMPORTANT, ECT....

We aren't a priority. The Devs don't take an active role in DEs because we can't seem to ge the attention. We are a dozen or so voices scremaing to be heard in a sea of thousandsplaying more popular classes. Ocassionally, we do see a non-DE post here for support, but thats only because not many non-DEs read this board (they're understandably reading thier own..) so my solution is this...

I am going to post on EVERY proffesion board about our plight. I'm going to ask EVERY proffesion to support us in our time of need. If you love Star Wars, you aren't going to NOT support making droids more usefull....Yes, even the Creature Handlers will give us support! Think I'm crazy? read on....

I will make each post relevent to the class in question (So on the CH board, for instance, I will post about how DE's and CHs can benifit from each other if we are fixed..). This way the posts will not be blocked as "irrelivent." I intend to rally support from EVERY class....the Devs don't read our board, people say? Well they sure read the OTHER boards, and that is where they will find our support! They will HAVE to take notice!

Anyone who cares about the future of the DE proffesion, support this idea by visiting the other class's boards, bumping the topic occasionally, and if things go well, the entire SWG community, not just disgruntled DEs, will be demanding more droid support!

OK, I said it. I am sorry but its true. SOE owes you and Droids in general a huge appology and some love. I have probots that can be killed with little effort by a pack of Chupas. Even the very best ones Suck.

Its Star Wars, it feels like a Beta for a Tarzan MMORPG sometimes. Please don't screw up creatures even worse, but give the Droid guys some love. They need and deserve it.

Tread carefully... This is just what they would be expecting us to do... We can't afford to lose another DE, in the darkness, in the night...

Hey people I seriously contemplated on changing my profession this past weekend from Droid Engineer to something else such as bioengineer or architect. I couldn't craft any astromectric droid or MSE droid. Nor could I craft any advanced versions of droids because I couldn't craft the chasis to go along with it due to the recent patch.

Anyone who wants to contribute by submiting a similar post on another profession, feel free. I do ask you follow these guidelines for consistency's sake....

1) Title the Thread "(profession's name) and Droid Engineers..please read."

(example..."Architects

oops, sorry, hit enter too early.....

2) please keep all messages polite, and professional...and make sure they are relevent to the profession so they don't get blocked...encourage people to post thier sugestions on how droids could be more usefull to thier class..(remeber a droids function is to make life easier for thier master)

3) please DO NOT insult any other profession! No "CHs get all our attention.." or anything like that...we want to all work TOGETHER on this.

4) please post a link to your thread here.

I think there is one very good thing that has happened due to all this, and that is that we can no longer be ignored. I got the impression previously that DE bugs were tough to track down, but even so we have now an issue that is so large it cannot be ignored or back burnered. We are now one of the priorities, and that is a great thing. Other issues are meshed into this one, I'm certain, and so I truly feel we are going to have a lot of fixes.

Either way, I am wearing my hard earned Master Droid Engineer title with pride. Droids are Star Wars, we will have our day in the sun.

Don't be so sure... That's exactly what they'd like us to think...

I love my droid. I just wish I could get the darn thing out of my datapad and use him. He is my vision of my perfect helper. I had him custom made w/ everything I needed. For two days I could not open his deed, then Hoorrah he was alive... I then used my friend to store some things for me and now he lives in my datapad. I hope he talks to my Gurrcat Tigger while he is in there. I hope he is not lost forever. Someday I may save up enough to buy a new one, wonder if I'll be brave enough to buy one. Wait listen (flush) OOOhhhh Nooo another 30K down the drain. Maybe I just give all my money to the dancers, at least they talk to me, (OK maybe they don't). Please O great god of droids bring my little friend Tech back to life...........................
