If the argument is such that a new profession not be created to handle the droids, then i see no reason why it shouldnt be SQL. They are the most wasted profession in the game. SQL doesnt have any market at all, so they are clearly not crafters. They only gain experience in combat. But since Tactics is a part of the SQL class as well as Strategy it makes sense that they should command the bots.

I believe that people with Tactics and other such skills should get a bonus with Combat Droids - what that bonus is now, I dunno...

It's my personal belief that Squad Leaders SHOULD get some kind of bonus for... wait for it... leading squads! Said squad SHOULD be able to include/consist of droids, if combat droids are to be allowed into this time frame.

Once again, though, I see squad leaders as just one profession of many that could benefit from military droids. Personally, I'd rather sit outside of the cube a little bit, and think about more than simple damage-dealers. Reconnaisance and tactical support functions should somehow be made available to military folks, not EVERYTHING should come down to how heavy the armor vs. how strong the gun.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

true in a way... in Episode 1, the entire droid fleet was under the control of a single person... that commander on a space ship orbiting Naboo.
