Thread: Droid Hander/Poll to recall the current DE Correspondent.
I probably stand alone in this but my vote is get him recalled and replaced with someone who doesn't make his/her own personal bias a priority.
From reading between the lines on the "droid invasion" post and the Correspondent Board post between Drashk and TH, I think I see the way that all came out. TH came to Drashk and told him they were going to be putting combat droids only into the DE tree. TH didn't tell him what the alternative was, just told him that was what they were thinking. Drashk, right full so, told him that the majority of DEs were "crafting only" DEs and that most of us wouldn't like that. Remember, we want droids to be usable by all professions. The result was that TH went to the devs, told them we didn't like the idea. The devs went with their option 2, which wasn't presented to Drashk up front as the alternative, and DH was born.
The problem isn't with Drashk. He's doing the best he can under a difficult system. The problem is with the persnicikity secrecy system SOE has invented. TH knows things he can't tell Drashk, but he can't keep it straight across all the professions and correspondents. Drashk knows things he can't tell us. This causes him to make some mis-statements because keeping it straight is a chore in itself.
This is the major problem with not only the correspondent system, but with the communication system as a whole. SOE has decided that we aren't able to handle the type of open communication and idea discussion that exists in the beta stage of development. Keeping secrets is a severe handicap for communications, and until SOE understands this and treats us all like the paying customers we are, things like this will continue to happen.

This has been the issue with every Correspondent that's quit in the past.
