Thread: please help harvest droid seems to be not working ...

i just got a harvest droid for the first time . has a 110 harvest chip in it.. now im a master ranger and the de said it is supposed to give me around a 15 % increased harvesting rate as i understood him . now i kill a vynock to test it . i harvest 26 hides from it kill another the droid harvests 17 .. ok i think hmm maybe ill group it that will do it same thing 26 me droid 17 . now i store the droid to test if it was giving me a bonus nope still 26 for me so everything i tryed gives me same result 26 me droid 17 .. someplease explain where the harvesting droid is helping me gather more lol ..... thanks .....

Harvest droids have been borked since the group harvesting and master ranger harvesting changes went in. Droids will sometimes (I can't remember the exact requirements now) give a bonus, but usually harvest less than the owner.

lol nice so i just wasted 85k for nada huh sweeeeettttt lol .. lucky i like this game so much soe or..... haha well thanks for the response guess ill just stick with master ranger harvesting not like its bad just wanted a bit more since it seemed like i could hehe .....

The case Jenden is talking about is if you are in a group with other players and you try to use the droid, it will then give you less because it does not work with the group bonus that you benifit from (does a Master Ranger get a group bonus themselves?).
If you were not grouped, it could be that the droid was of too low a quality for your skill level. These droids do not apply a flat 15% bonus across the board, but rather the level of the bonus is a result of the difference of the droids quality and your skills. It is possible to harvest less via the droid if it is of too low a quality for you.
There have been a few attempts to figure out the formula used, but I don't think we've found the right answer.
You may actually need a higher quality droid (with the max being 120). I know 110 droids used to give a small bonus to Master Rangers, but that was before their harvesting skills were increased.

That was the original issue, there's been a new one since then. There's soem kind of interaction now between the droid's CL, the player's CL, and the creature's CL (the original one is still in effect as well).
