For example say 10 probots fitted with one combat module and 4 auto-repair. You'll get with this droid grouping 10 x 110 damage + 10 x 78 ham heal / 10 seconds. Thats over roughly 1100 damage per second with each droid getting 780 heal every 10 seconds.

Actuallly, since the Probot's Attack Speed is .75 you'll get roughly 1466 DPS!
Hard to find 9 others willing to do this, though. In my guild, only 1 out of 5 or so will consider using a Droid or pet in battle. (Diehard purist Flavor-Of-The-Month'ers) :->
Heh, even better then lol. I said roughly and theres the debate on whether these actually have a one second cap even though it says .75 speed. It was just an example so substitute the figures as required.
I can understand if people are levelling, not to use droids since they leech xp, but otherthan that I can't imagine why you wouldn't want a probot adding some extra damage alongside you.
I think speed is capped at 1, but I've seen some weird firing rates. Nonetheless, I actually tested this.
My Gunga Din ADV Probots had 2 autoheal modules for 42 pts and 3 combat modules for a total of 307 CR. (144 - 151 damage)
We went to Yavin 4, all of us wearing padded or less armor, no doc or entertainer buffs, no brandy, and our weapons were :
Scout blaster, Laser Carbine, or Laser Rifle.
No specials were used by agreement. Muon and old tat sunburns only for 'buffs'. No synthsteak, no psg's, and no vehicles.
We grouped 5 up and walked 7km through red mobs to a static rebel base, killed everything with feet, and went swimming at a beach.
The effectiveness of grouped droids is stunning. The effectiveness goes through the roof, as the autoheal stacks wonderfully. At one point, some guys wanted to have the droids put away because "the droids make this too easy" (it was a history trek for our PA).
I'm testing a 10 group this weekend, as we may go unbuffed kimo hunting to see if we can do it.
